Great quality poke. Amazing flavor. The mac salad was great but honestly I think would’ve been top tier if the noodle type was different. The hand rolls were spectacular. Waited probably an hour for lunch and definitely satisfied. The inside is super small and got pretty crowded with people checking to see if their name was called or maybe for online orders. Overall, happy that we tried it and probably would agree that it’s worth visiting at least once but not sure if it was worth the long wait though visiting at a less busy time would have helped the experience.

Line was still long at 4:40 PM (they close at 5). I got the Kalua + poke combo, thinking it's a good deal for only $4 extra but turned out you got less than half lb of poke compared to the $18 regular poke plate w/ half lb poke. Also, if you don't care for the rice or their angel-hair mac salad (which was weird), just buy the poke by the pound—it's way better value, especially for salmon ($26.99/lb) vs. ahi/tako ($29.95/lb). You're basically paying $5 extra for the rice/Mac if you order the cheaper salmon poke. The Kalua pork was great and plentiful, but the shoyu ahi was just ok and the kimchi ahi lacked umami (more like straight gochugaru). Maybe I should try the furikake salmon and spicy ahi next time.

“Is it really that good?” A guy asked that as my wife and I waited in line for It’s Raw this past weekend. Many people on the 20+ person, 45-minute line responded: yes, it is. And I have to agree. The line is long, yes. Could they pre-scoop? Maybe. It’s hard to say if there’s a better process that could move things faster. If you’re someone who hates waiting in lines, you might be put off, but if you’re someone who hates good poke, you might also be put off. We got the pork and poke plate (pork and two choices of poke) and the poke plate with two choices of poke. Both with mac salad and rice. For the poke, we chose the ahi furikake, salmon furikake, the shoyu ahi, and spicy ahi. All were amazing. If I were to nitpick, the furikake pokes were a little sweet, but like I said, still amazing. The shoyu ahi was the most mild of the bunch. Overall, this and Hawaiian Fresh Sushi are my favorites in San Diego. This was my second time here, and although I’m not in OB often, I will be back! Tip: there’s a discount if you pay with cash.

This was the best poke I’ve had (that isn’t in Hawaii)! Also the staff was super knowledgeable about gluten free options (I had the ginger ahi and spicy salmon, both gf). The long line moved pretty quickly on a Friday afternoon

Really great poke, extremely fresh and buttery fish. Got the furikake salmon and kimchi tuna and both were great. Tuna possibly even better than salmon. Not getting heavy mayo based seems good. Very close to the beach and plenty of room to sit there. Walkable to cliffs etc. Great place to start or end an adventure
